Landshut. AGROLAB has signed an agreement to acquire the testing division of Ambiente S.p.A., composed of four laboratories active in the environmental testing business. AGROLAB is thus represented throughout Italy.

On the 2nd of March, the independent laboratory group AGROLAB headquartered in Landshut, Germany, has signed an agreement with the leading Italian environmental consulting and testing group Ambiente S.p.A. to take over its testing activities under the name AGROLAB Ambiente S.r.L.

AGROLAB Ambiente will operate four laboratories with headquarters in Carrara in Tuscany and three branches in Florence (Tuscany), Siracusa (Sicily) and Pisticci (Basilicata). The laboratories have a total surface of 2.500 sqm with a team of around 150 people, 30 years of expertise.

With the acquisition and in conjunction with its laboratory in Altavilla Vicentina, Veneto, AGROLAB will be able to offer its top-notch services all over Italy and especially to the environmental sector.

"With its new presence in the environmental market throughout Italy, AGROLAB is setting up another strategic milestone, enhancing its geographical coverage in Italy for both accredited environmental sampling and testing and becoming a major partner for the environmental sector in Europe" says Dr. Paul Wimmer, Managing Director of AGROLAB GmbH.

Anna Pagliani and Stefano Zennaro, Managing Directors of AGROLAB Ambiente, are proud to be part of this ambitious project: “we are convinced that we find an important starting point with this acquisition to become one of the market leader in the Italian environmental market.”
