The French cheese producer "Le Moulis" had to recall several of its products from the assortment. The sausage factory Wilke Waldecker Fleisch- und Wurstwaren also had to take back almost all its products due to the discovery of Listeria. As a result, the company ceased operations and filed for bankruptcy. In addition to the deaths resulting from the consumption of the products, jobs are being lost in a less developed region in Germany and many families are threatened with loss of existence overnight.
