nutri score

From now on the "Maggi" dry soup range will bear the Nutri-Score traffic light symbol on the front.

Gradually, all products in the instant soup range will be labelled with this consumer information, most of which are classified as B or C. The composition of the food is included in the evaluation of the Nutri-Score. High fat, salt and sugar contents lead to devaluations in the underlying calculation formula. The labelling is currently voluntary. However, the example of the large food companies will soon be followed by medium-sized manufacturers, as it is now becoming clear that the traffic light labelling system developed in France will establish itself as the European industry standard, even though it has received justified criticism of the system from consumer protection organisations.

It is good to know that the laboratories of the AGROLAB Group will not only carry out analytical checks on the nutritional information, but will also check that the labelling is correct and will also check that the Nutri-Score classification is correct.
